Who am 'I'?

The witnessing presence

It is common knowledge for the majority of people on earth to believe that the world which is experienced through each of their finite minds, is real. Yet closer inspection reveals that this is not true and that world is an illusion. This does not mean that it is unreal or that it doesn’t exist –
only that it is not what we believe it to be..

When pure awareness localises itself as each of our finite minds,it seems to temporarily forget its pure, formless, infinite nature. Thoughts, feelings and perceptions colour our minds through the filter of experience and provide a compelling case for life being largely composed of matter existing within the dimensions of time and space. As a result, we overlook our essential self in favour of the conditioned, materialistic view that this ‘life’ is all there is, with birth & death being the beginning and end of existence. When the realisation dawns that this view is flawed a search begins to discover our true self and the real nature and purpose of life.

There are many paths offer to take us towards a deeper understanding. Some point directly to the truth whilst others lead only lead to greater ignorance. To the awakened mind these can be more easily discerned, especially those which promise much but actually deliver little or nothing and actually entrap us. The knowing of our true Self is also the knowledge of the creator and the oneness of creation. When it is realised fully that we share our being with everyone and everything, then the barriers of colour, creed, race, religion, age, gender dissolve and the peace and happiness that is often sought through searching outside of the self, also falls away.

This knowledge is transformative. Along with love and happiness, it is that for which we all search and its recognition within, is the key to everlasting joy and wisdom – freely available to all.
